Andrew is a local to Rochdale, having grown up and being educated in the town. He qualified from Peninsula Dental School at Exeter University in 2012, having already achieved an honours degree in Biomedical Sciences from Durham University (2007) and a Masters degree in Immunology and Immunogenetics from the University of Manchester (2008).
Since graduating, Andrew has worked within the NHS and also privately, however from 2014 has limited his practice within private dentistry. Andrew has completed extensive postgraduate training in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, successfully completing the Royal College of Surgeons MJDF examination in 2013 before going on to successfully complete the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons Diploma In Restorative Dentistry in 2017.
Andrew has since been elected, and is currently sitting on the national board of the Royal College of Surgeons Faculty of General Dental Practitioners, helping set the standards in postgraduate education and professional standards within the profession.
Andrew's skills have also garnered national recognition from ITV's 'This Morning' television show, having demonstrated a smile makeover which was featured in 2017.
Andrew is a passionate and progressive dentist with a focus on minimally-invasive dentistry, and the use of cutting-edge digital technology.
In his spare time, Andrew is a keen sportsman, playing football, rugby, badminton and squash whilst being an active member of Rochdale Golf Club. He also enjoys regular days out and spending time with his wife and young son.
Sandy is an award-winning Dental Implantologist and General, Restorative and Cosmetic Dental Surgeon with two decades of experience in dental practice.
Sandy began her dental training at The University of Glasgow Dental School. She graduated with Honours and was top of her class, being awarded the 'most distinguished student' in her year in 2002. She intercalated her dental degree with a 2-year Bachelor of Science degree in Pathology, graduating this degree with first class honours in 1999.
Following her graduation from Glasgow Dental School, Sandy began her dental career as a Vocational Trainee (VT) in an NHS practice in Rochdale in 2002 and received the Vocational Training prize for the North West of England in 2003. She then took up a one year position as Senior House Officer (SHO) in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Wythenshawe Hospital, South Manchester NHS trust. During her time as an SHO Sandy studied and gained Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2005.
Sandy moved on to study a three-year part-time Postgraduate Diploma (DPDS) in Dental Practice Studies including fixed and removable prosthodontics and oral surgery on the University of Bristol Postgraduate Dental Programme in 2010. After over a decade of restoring implants, she formally qualified as an Implantologist with a Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons of England, she is currently only 1 of 3 women in the world to do so.
Sandy has a keen interest in empowering the next generation of dentists and spent four years from 2010 as an undergraduate clinical teaching fellow in Restorative Dentistry at Manchester Dental Hospital and School. In order to stay at the forefront of her profession, Sandy continuously focuses on her professional development and at present is studying for a master Degree in the field of research in Dental Implantology on the MSc course at University Rey Juan Carlos, Madrid.
Sandy is a current member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England Faculty of Dental Surgeons and Joint member of the Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK). She is also a current member of The British Dental Association, The Association of Dental Implantology and the ITI International Team for Implantology.
Sandy's General Dental Council (GDC) registration number is 81218.
Kim has been a member of our team since 2002. She is the second youngest of a family of seven – 3 brothers and 3 sisters!
Her eldest son has just finished high school and is prepping for sixth form in September. Her youngest will be starting primary school in 2016.
Kim, partner Clayton and the boys have a pet dog Lewis who is quite a handful!
After leaving school Louise obtained a BTEC First in Performing Arts before embarking on a career in dentistry during which she worked in practices in Liverpool, Bury and Haslingden, gaining her dental nurse qualification in 2000.
Louise qualified from Liverpool Dental Hospital as a Dental Therapist-Hygienist, which means that in addition to her skills as a dental hygienist she is able to provide fillings and take impressions so we can offer our patients more choice in their appointments.
She lives in Rawtenstall with her partner Simon and 3 beloved cats, Chinty, “Little Cat” and new addition Arthur! Her hobbies are house related and she loves DIY
Our senior dental nurse is Vicky McRobbie, who has been working in dentistry for the past sixteen years and qualified as a dental nurse in 1998.
She was working for many years as a dental nurse/ receptionist in another Rochdale dental practice, but was made redundant when they shut down. After a short spell in a practice in Manchester she was keen to accept our job offer and settled in very quickly. She passed her Radiography – Principles and Practice, qualification in October 2011.
Vicky has lived in Heywood all her life and has three children; Ellie, Katie and Callum. Her partner Paul works in the building industry as a bricklayer.
When she gets time Vicky enjoys reading and is a long-distance runner.
Pam qualified from Manchester Dental Hospital in 1976 and initially worked with her father and brother in their practices in Rochdale, Manchester and Lees, Oldham.
She won the North West Final of BPW / Nat West Young Career Woman Award in 1987 and in 1995 was named by “Harpers & Queen” magazine as one of the twelve “A1” dentists in the country. She won the Professional Business Woman of the Year Award 2015 in the Forward Ladies Awards and was thrilled to win the Dentistry Award for Best Patient Care UK in 2014. She is a graduate of the prestigious Goldman Sachs 10K Small Business Programme.
She has been the National President of Business and Professional Women UK Limited (BPW UK) as well as Chairman of the General Dental Practitioners Association and also Women in Dentistry. She was Chapter Director of Rochdale Chapter of Business Network International (BNI) in 2002 and was a finalist in the Rochdale Business Awards 2014
She is married with two stepsons. Her hobbies are visiting different places on holiday, going to the gym, driving, segwaying and always trying something new. For her mid-life crisis she acquired two tattoos and did a tandem skydive from 10,000 feet over Cumbria.
